We are here to help you gain financial confidence. If you live in Pitkin, Garfield, or Eagle counties and are 18 or older, you can access free, one-on-one financial counseling at no cost.

Who qualifies for your services?
How do I schedule a session?
What can I expect during my first session?
During your first session, we’ll:
- Review your financial situation with a health assessment
- Go over your credit report
- Help you set and prioritize financial goals
- Create a step-by-step plan to get started
What can the FEC counselors help me with?
Counselors can work with you on managing your money, creating a budget, paying down debt, increasing savings, establishing and building credit, opening a safe and affordable bank, preparing for legacy planning, and protecting your assets.
What is Legacy Planning?
Legacy planning includes two key steps:
Prepare for legacy planning: Counselors can help you identify assets and prepare to take action to protect and/or transfer assets.
Protect assets: Counselors can provide resources to help you create formal documentation of asset ownership and/or asset transfer instructions.

What happens if I need to reschedule my appointment?
